It’s a new era of sorts for the Penticton Vees.
With the 2022-23 season just around the corner, the BCHL club unveiled a brand new logo and an updated colour scheme this morning.
“We are excited about moving forward with a new look,” said team president Fred Harbinson.
“Change from what you are used to is never easy, but we feel this logo will create a fresh and exciting look for our players and fans.”

The new primary logo will look familiar to most hockey fans, as it takes inspiration from a classic Toronto Maple Leafs look.
It features a redesigned maple leaf that is meant to reflect the rich hockey history in Penticton.
The ‘V’ is still predominantly showcased and the Vees wordmark has been refreshed as well.
There are blue and white versions of the new logo, for both home and away jerseys, and the team has also updated its colour palette to feature a deeper, more vivid shade of blue.
In addition, the team has added a secondary Vees script wordmark that will be on display throughout the upcoming season.
“I wanted to create a logo that was a blend of 1950’s era hockey and the most recent Vees’ logo,” said graphic designer Luke Fraser.
“My main goal was to go back in time and give the Vees a timeless and classic look.”
This is the first major logo change for the franchise since the team was renamed the Vees from the Penticton Panthers back in 2004.
